Dr. Marty Traver is a Forensic Psychologist in private practice in Champaign, Illinois. Her practice includes forensic consultation for both civil and criminal cases, evaluation of clients of all ages, and
treatment of adults, children, couples, and families. She has done over 3000 Court Ordered, Attorney Referred or Illinois Department of Children and Family Services referred evaluations from 1988 to the
present. She provides clinical supervision of psychologists in training as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Illinois in the Departments of Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology. She regularly
performs evaluations including psychological evaluation, custody evaluation, parenting assessment, fitness for trial, bonding assessment, addiction assessment, sex offender assessment, and sexual abuse victim
assessment.
She has testified as an expert witness throughout the State of Illinois. Professional organizations include the following: American Psychological Association; American Psychological Association Division 41 (American Psychology-Law Society); Illinois Psychological Association; Champaign Area Psychological Society; Professional Academy of Custody Evaluators; National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology; American College of Forensic Examiners; and the American Board of Psychological Specialties. Although primarily a practicing clinician, Dr. Traver has done research in the areas of anorexia nervosa and bulimia, meditation, and sports psychology.
