My office is at Clairmont and I-85. I also practice once a week in Dalton Ga., at Family Solutions, phone 706-272-7200. After 17 years in practice, I have evolved a therapy approach that draws upon psychodynamic,
interpersonal/systems/family, and cognitive therapy modalities. I believe that people who seek psychotherapy or psychological counseling want first to tell and be heard thoroughly and also equally importantly want
to be closely met, understood and engaged with. Therefore my general style is interactive (rather than passive or aloof). I have had a number of special interests over the years: child behavior issues, couple or
family problems, dissociative disorders, dysfunctional family survivors, children of alcoholics, sex abuse survivors, infertility, adoption, and career strategies, as well as anxieties, depression, and adjustment
disorders. Whether the problem seems "severe" or less so, all clients are seeking both personal growth and problem solving. My clients are intelligent motivated men and women (some with their children
too). Whatever the problem that brought any of them to see me, each is working on fuller exploration of thoughts, feelings and patterns from former or ongoing injuries or interferences, and on connecting with life
now in more reliable and richer ways.
